Electric MotorThe BPY series is a general-purpose, variable-speed drive (VSD) compatible three-phase squirrel-cage asynchronous motor, designed and manufactured to national standards. It is suitable for both variable-frequency drive (VSD) operation and direct-on-line (DOL) starting. The motor features an optimized electromagnetic design and modern manufacturing processes to balance high efficiency and a wide speed range. Key advantages include high starting torque, stable speed control, low noise, low vibration, and reliable operation. The BPY series is widely used for fans, pumps, compressors, conveyors, rolling mills, test rigs and other industrial equipment requiring VSD. Typical application sectors include power, metallurgy, mining, petrochemical, water conservancy, building materials, marine, nuclear power, and municipal engineering.

Standard design & interchangeability: Standard mounting and dimensions per national GB/T standards, facilitating interchange and field replacement.
Optimized for VSD: Electromagnetic design optimized for VSD operation across a wide frequency range (5–100 Hz), ensuring good starting torque and stable low-frequency control.
Cooling & protection: Cooling methods IC411 (self-ventilated) or IC416 (forced ventilation) to suit different heat-dissipation and continuous-duty requirements. Standard protection rating IP55, upgradable to IP56/IP65 on request.
Insulation & thermal rating: F-class insulation designed to meet B-class temperature-rise evaluation, offering improved thermal and aging resistance.
Frame / power / poles: Frame sizes 80–450; rated power range 0.75 kW – 900 kW; poles 2P/4P/6P/8P/10P; rated voltage 380 V / 660 V; rated frequency 50 Hz (VSD support 5–100 Hz).
Bearings & lubrication: Frames ≤225 use sealed bearings; frames >225 use re-lubrication bearings or oil-bath lubrication as configured for power and duty. Suitable for long continuous operation.
Terminal box & monitoring: Top-mounted terminal box with left/right exit options. Optional PT100 / thermal sensors, speed encoders, and insulation monitoring devices.
EMC & VSD compatibility: Robust electromagnetic compatibility and anti-interference design to suit common inverter drives. For extended motor life, use output filters and cable shielding as recommended in VSD systems.
Quality & testing: Strict process control and factory testing including dynamic balancing, insulation tests, no-load/load tests, noise & vibration checks, and temperature-rise tests to ensure stable performance at delivery.

BPY series is recommended for applications requiring VSD or frequent start-stop cycles — especially fans, pumps, air compressors, conveyors, rolling lines, flying shears, and test benches. Selection guidance:
For constant-torque VSD loads (e.g., conveyors, compressors), choose a VSD-matched motor and pair with a suitable inverter and output filter.
For long continuous heavy loads or high starting-torque requirements, consider upsizing one power class and use reinforced bearing lubrication or oil-film lubrication.
For outdoor or humid environments, select higher protection (IP65) and anti-corrosion / moisture-resistant treatments.
For EMC-sensitive installations, install motor-side output filters and cable termination suppression when using long cable runs.
Before shipment, each motor undergoes comprehensive inspections and acceptance tests: mechanical appearance check, dynamic balance test, insulation resistance and dielectric tests, no-load and (if required) load tests, noise and vibration checks, and temperature-rise tests. A factory certificate, inspection report, wiring diagram, and maintenance manual are supplied with the motor.
